A roughly 30-foot waterfall in Platte River State Park about 30 minutes from Omaha, reached by an easy wooded Waterfall Trail starting from the lower parking lot. The falls reportedly flow year-round.
The falls are fed by Stone Creek. It lies in Cass, Nebraska. The site is on public land managed by Platte River State Park (Nebraska Game and Parks).
This is a short hike waterfall: reached by a short trail, generally under about a mile each way. The walk in is brief — comfortable shoes are usually all you need. The nearest town is Louisville.
When to go: Spring through fall (flows year-round). Flow usually peaks after snowmelt and heavy rain and tapers through late summer — a quick look at recent streamflow and the managing agency's conditions page can save a wasted trip.
