Smith Falls is a plunge waterfall in Nebraska with a documented drop of 63 ft (19 m).

The falls are fed by spring-fed tributary of the Niobrara River. It lies in Cherry, Nebraska. The site is on public land managed by Nebraska Game and Parks Commission (Smith Falls State Park).

This is a short hike waterfall: reached by a short trail, generally under about a mile each way. The walk to the main viewpoint runs about 1 miles round trip. The nearest town is Valentine.

When to go: Spring through fall. Like most waterfalls, Smith Falls runs highest after snowmelt or heavy rain and can thin out in late summer, so it's worth checking recent streamflow and the land manager's conditions page before a long drive.
