Wagner Falls is a multi-tiered cascade on Wagner Creek about 1.5 miles south of Munising, in the Wagner Falls Scenic Site managed by the Michigan DNR. A short packed-gravel trail and boardwalk with a few stairs lead to an observation platform at the main falls.
The falls are fed by Wagner Creek. It lies in Alger, Michigan. The site is on public land managed by Michigan DNR (Wagner Falls Scenic Site).
This is a short hike waterfall: reached by a short trail, generally under about a mile each way. The walk in is brief — comfortable shoes are usually all you need. The walk to the main viewpoint runs about 0.25 miles round trip. The nearest town is Munising.
When to go: spring. Water volume swings with the seasons here, strongest after snowmelt or rain and lowest in late summer, so check recent streamflow before you go.
