Ramsey Cascades is a cascade waterfall in Tennessee with a documented drop of 105 ft (32 m).
Its water comes from Ramsey Prong. It lies in Sevier County, Tennessee. The site is on public land managed by National Park Service (Great Smoky Mountains NP).
This is a backcountry waterfall: a remote, long, or permit-required trek for prepared visitors. The walk to the main viewpoint runs about 8 miles round trip. The nearest town is Gatlinburg.
When to go: Spring and fall. Like most waterfalls, Ramsey Cascades runs highest after snowmelt or heavy rain and can thin out in late summer, so it's worth checking recent streamflow and the land manager's conditions page before a long drive.
