Ebner Falls thunders on Gold Creek in the Gold Creek valley above downtown Juneau, reached by a short spur off the historic Perseverance Trail. The route climbs roughly 815 feet in about 0.7 miles to the falls turnoff, passing old mine workings.
The falls are fed by Gold Creek. It lies in Juneau, Alaska. The site is on public land managed by City and Borough of Juneau.
This is a moderate hike waterfall: a longer day hike, roughly one to several miles each way. Reaching it takes a moderate walk, so budget time and pack water before you set out. The walk to the main viewpoint runs about 1.4 miles round trip. The nearest town is Juneau.
When to go: Summer (May-Sep). Flow usually peaks after snowmelt and heavy rain and tapers through late summer — a quick look at recent streamflow and the managing agency's conditions page can save a wasted trip.
