Dunnings Spring Falls is a modest but scenic cascade waterfall in Iowa, falling 25 ft.

Its water comes from Dunnings Spring branch (Upper Iowa River drainage). It lies in Winneshiek, Iowa. The site is on public land managed by City of Decorah Parks & Recreation.

This is a short hike waterfall: reached by a short trail, generally under about a mile each way. The walk to the main viewpoint runs about 0.3 miles round trip. The nearest town is Decorah.

When to go: Spring and fall. Like most waterfalls, Dunnings Spring Falls runs highest after snowmelt or heavy rain and can thin out in late summer, so it's worth checking recent streamflow and the land manager's conditions page before a long drive.
