A small seasonal cascade on Cibolo Creek at the Cibolo Center for Conservation (Cibolo Nature Center) in Boerne, framed by bald cypress and native grasses. A 150-foot pedestrian bridge near the confluence of Cibolo and Currey Creeks offers a view of the falls.
Its water comes from Cibolo Creek. You'll find it in Kendall County, Texas. It is protected within Cibolo Center for Conservation / City of Boerne.
This is a short hike waterfall: reached by a short trail, generally under about a mile each way. A short walk gets you to the viewpoint, so it works for most casual visitors and families. Base a visit out of Boerne, the closest town.
When to go: After rainfall. Like most waterfalls, Cibolo Creek Falls runs highest after snowmelt or heavy rain and can thin out in late summer, so it's worth checking recent streamflow and the land manager's conditions page before a long drive.
