A pair of cascades on Crawford Brook near the Crawford Depot: Beecher Cascade (about 25 ft) tumbles through a narrow rock chute and the wider Pearl Cascade (about 20 ft) fans across a rock slab just upstream. Reached by a short loop off the Avalon Trail.
Its 25 ft drop is taller than about 16% of the 775 waterfalls we track.
Its water comes from Crawford Brook. It lies in Coos, New Hampshire. The site is on public land managed by White Mountain National Forest.
This is a short hike waterfall: reached by a short trail, generally under about a mile each way. The walk in is brief — comfortable shoes are usually all you need. The walk to the main viewpoint runs about 1 miles round trip. The nearest town is Carroll.
When to go: spring through fall. Flow usually peaks after snowmelt and heavy rain and tapers through late summer — a quick look at recent streamflow and the managing agency's conditions page can save a wasted trip.
