Adams Falls drops roughly 55 feet in a series of steps through a narrow rock gorge along East Inlet Creek on the western side of Rocky Mountain National Park near Grand Lake. The short out-and-back from the East Inlet Trailhead reaches the falls in under a mile.
Its 55 ft drop is taller than about 43% of the 775 waterfalls we track.
Its water comes from East Inlet Creek. It lies in Grand, Colorado. The site is on public land managed by Rocky Mountain National Park (NPS).
This is a short hike waterfall: reached by a short trail, generally under about a mile each way. The walk in is brief — comfortable shoes are usually all you need. The walk to the main viewpoint runs about 0.6 miles round trip. The nearest town is Grand Lake.
When to go: late spring to summer. Flow usually peaks after snowmelt and heavy rain and tapers through late summer — a quick look at recent streamflow and the managing agency's conditions page can save a wasted trip.
