A multi-stage, roughly 140-foot cascade on Statons Creek in the Pedlar District of George Washington National Forest, visible from the parking area with no hiking required. USGS recognizes it as Statons Creek Falls; it is also known as Deadman Falls.

Its 140 ft drop is taller than about 82% of the 775 waterfalls we track.

The falls are fed by Statons Creek. It lies in Rockbridge, Virginia. The site is on public land managed by USFS - George Washington National Forest (Pedlar Ranger District).

This is a roadside waterfall: visible from a road, parking area, or a walk of a few hundred feet. Little to no walking is required, so it suits a quick roadside pull-off rather than a dedicated hike. The nearest town is Vesuvius.

When to go: spring. Flow usually peaks after snowmelt and heavy rain and tapers through late summer — a quick look at recent streamflow and the managing agency's conditions page can save a wasted trip.
