Little River Falls is a modest but scenic block waterfall in Alabama, falling 45 ft.
Its water comes from Little River. It lies in DeKalb, Alabama. The site is on public land managed by National Park Service (Little River Canyon National Preserve).
This is a short hike waterfall: reached by a short trail, generally under about a mile each way. The walk to the main viewpoint runs about 0.2 miles round trip. The nearest town is Fort Payne.
When to go: Winter and spring. Like most waterfalls, Little River Falls runs highest after snowmelt or heavy rain and can thin out in late summer, so it's worth checking recent streamflow and the land manager's conditions page before a long drive.
