Hutch's Pool is a deep swimming hole fed by a short waterfall along the West Fork of Sabino Canyon in the Santa Catalina Mountains near Tucson. It is reached by a roughly 8-mile round-trip hike from the end of the Sabino Canyon road.
Its water comes from West Fork Sabino Creek. It lies in Pima, Arizona. The site is on public land managed by Coronado National Forest.
This is a moderate hike waterfall: a longer day hike, roughly one to several miles each way. Reaching it takes a moderate walk, so budget time and pack water before you set out. The walk to the main viewpoint runs about 8 miles round trip. The nearest town is Tucson.
When to go: spring. Flow usually peaks after snowmelt and heavy rain and tapers through late summer — a quick look at recent streamflow and the managing agency's conditions page can save a wasted trip.
