Hardy Falls is an approximately 90-foot horsetail on Hardy Creek in Beacon Rock State Park on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge. It is reached on the Hamilton Mountain Trail, often combined with nearby Rodney Falls in a roughly 3.5-mile round trip.
Its 90 ft drop is taller than about 67% of the 775 waterfalls we track.
Its water comes from Hardy Creek. It lies in Skamania, Washington. The site is on public land managed by Beacon Rock State Park (Washington State Parks).
This is a moderate hike waterfall: a longer day hike, roughly one to several miles each way. Reaching it takes a moderate walk, so budget time and pack water before you set out. The walk to the main viewpoint runs about 3.5 miles round trip. The nearest town is Stevenson.
When to go: Spring (peak flow) through fall. Flow usually peaks after snowmelt and heavy rain and tapers through late summer — a quick look at recent streamflow and the managing agency's conditions page can save a wasted trip.
