Also known as Toms Spring Falls or Jackson Falls, this tall sloping cascade of roughly 150 feet sits in Pisgah National Forest near the Davidson River. A short hike on the Daniel Ridge Trail reaches the base, or a four-mile loop visits the top.

Its 150 ft drop is taller than about 83% of the 775 waterfalls we track.

Daniel Ridge Falls sits on Right Fork Davidson River area (Toms Spring Branch). It lies in Transylvania, North Carolina. The site is on public land managed by Pisgah National Forest (USFS).

This is a short hike waterfall: reached by a short trail, generally under about a mile each way. The walk in is brief — comfortable shoes are usually all you need. The walk to the main viewpoint runs about 1 miles round trip. The nearest town is Brevard.

When to go: spring. Flow usually peaks after snowmelt and heavy rain and tapers through late summer — a quick look at recent streamflow and the managing agency's conditions page can save a wasted trip.
