Linville Falls is a tall tiered waterfall in North Carolina, dropping 150 ft (46 m).

Its water comes from Linville River. It lies in Burke, North Carolina. The site is on public land managed by Blue Ridge Parkway (NPS).

This is a moderate hike waterfall: a longer day hike, roughly one to several miles each way. The walk to the main viewpoint runs about 1.6 miles round trip. The nearest town is Linville Falls.

When to go: Spring and after heavy rain (Apr-Jun). Like most waterfalls, Linville Falls runs highest after snowmelt or heavy rain and can thin out in late summer, so it's worth checking recent streamflow and the land manager's conditions page before a long drive.
