Amnicon Falls (Upper and Lower) is a low segmented waterfall in Wisconsin at 15 ft, but often a rewarding stop.
Amnicon Falls (Upper and Lower) sits on Amnicon River. It lies in Douglas County, Wisconsin. The site is on public land managed by Wisconsin DNR (Amnicon Falls State Park).
This is a short hike waterfall: reached by a short trail, generally under about a mile each way. The walk to the main viewpoint runs about 2.7 miles round trip. The nearest town is South Range.
When to go: spring. Like most waterfalls, Amnicon Falls (Upper and Lower) runs highest after snowmelt or heavy rain and can thin out in late summer, so it's worth checking recent streamflow and the land manager's conditions page before a long drive.
